About Us
West Wilts Vineyard Church is all about, all because of, and all for, Jesus. We are not a “building” as such but rather a community of people who want to embody the type of church Jesus had in mind - a vibrant, fun, intergenerational, and purposeful community of people with the heart and desire to experience and communicate the life changing power of God's love and compassion. We are not a “religious institution”, but aim to be a movement of faith, hope and love, believing that as we connect and draw closer to Jesus, and each other, lives can be changed for the better. Because of this we value living life together in community, taking our first steps and our next step, caring about the things God cares about. This means that we work together to be a worshipping church that has Jesus at its centre, an outward focused church that knows how to serve God and those around us, a generous church that understands the value of giving, and a relevant church that knows how to communicate Jesus in a loving and genuine way.
Our invitation to you is “come as you are”, because that’s where God meets us. You don’t have to dress up, or pretend to be something or someone other than yourself. From there, we'll help each other grow to be all God intended us to be. We don’t pretend to have all the answers, but we believe in a God who does.
What to expect on a Sunday:
• A warm welcome and friendly people who will help you find your way around
• Free refreshments - coffee, tea, donuts and fruit
• Fun, age appropriate children’s activities
• Contemporary music and a time of singing – we call this an act of worship
• A talk relevant to life
• A time of prayer for those who would like it
West Wilts Vineyard is affiliated to Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland. At the heart of the movement is a simple desire to ‘do the stuff’ of the Bible and moreover to do it in a way that is accessible and relevant to everyone.
