Young people are the heartbeat of any church and at West Wilts Vineyard we aim to encourage them to be fully involved with all we do. We guide them to find new, creative and exciting ways to live life and love God.

West Wilts Vineyard Church prioritises the safety of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We operate a formal safeguarding policy, which is registered with thirtyone:eight, previously known as the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service. This means that we are committed to ensuring that everyone working with children or young people has been safely recruited, is adequately trained and supervised, and understands and follows the church’s safeguarding policy.

For safety reasons, we also ask that all parents follow the registration procedure for each group.

Stay & Play - 0-3 Years

Stay and Play is a space for parents with children under the age of three. It’s a hospitable environment where you’ll feel welcomed and able to meet other families in a similar stage of life. We’ll provide toys and activities so you can involve yourself and your child as much or as little as you like. There will also be a link-up to the main service so you can watch live.

sparks - 3-5 years

Sparks is a fun and age-appropriate environment for pre-school. Sparks sessions are held in a space with lots of great toys and activities. Every week there is free play, singing, dancing, stories, crafts and games. This year we’ve planned for every kind of activity you can think of, including painting, colouring and sticking, play dough and junk modelling, stamping and printing, mask making, role play, dressing up and games, food decorating and face painting. Phew!

Each Sparks session is thoughtfully put together with your child’s growth and enjoyment in mind. This year we will be following the Scripture Unions’ Bubble Curriculum, which uses various stories from the Bible to explore God’s nature, the life of Jesus and various themes such as creation, faithfulness, kindness and prayer. Our desire is that children in our care will grow to love God and love people.

411 - 5-11 Years

Just in case you were wondering – 411 is an American expression to denote “what’s the word on the street”. We love the sentiment that this reflects – what’s new to learn and what’s all the excitement about? Jesus teaches that He has called us to life in all its fullness. 411 aims to explore what this looks like in our day-to-day lives. Each week you will find everyone having a great time as they play games, get messy through art and craft activities, explore some great stories and think about how we can connect with God and become more fully alive.

Every session in 411 is written with your child’s development and enjoyment in mind. We will be using stories from the Bible to explore God’s nature, the life of Jesus and how we can live a fab life following Jesus! Your child will find an environment of fun, learning and exploring. Throughout the year, 411 will be following sessions from Scripture Union’s new curriculum with a West Wilts Vineyard twist!

Each term there will also be an outward focus element and some special events, including for example Shoebox Sunday, where 411 will visit the Operation Christmas Child warehouse and help with checking boxes and praying for the children who’ll receive them

ignition - 11-16 Years

Ignition is a thought-provoking and fun environment for youth aged 11-16 years. Each week you will find them chatting, engaging with media, challenging each other, completing fun games and, most importantly, exploring how to negotiate life with Jesus at the centre.Following on from last year’s focus on the Bible through following the Bible Project, Ignition will be exploring various themes using the Scripture Union Curriculum, the GRID.

As part of Ignition, our youth will also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills when helping with activities for the younger age groups, being involved in outreach events and taking part in key services.

ignition Monthly

Once a month Ignition will gather to enjoy some downtime together. We know how important friendships are, especially at this age, so take this opportunity to build relationships and have some fun! Friends are always welcome too. There will be a range of activities, from gaming to cinema trips, eating together, bowling - and the list goes on! For more info check out our church magazine!
