Welcome to Effective Leadership 2022

Friday 11 & Saturday 12 March 2022

Effective Leadership is a gathering for leaders, whatever the context or denomination. Leaders across the world are currently facing many complex and ever-changing challenges. So now, more than ever, they need environments of encouragement and support.
— Christy Wimber

The criteria for this gathering remain the same - you must be leading a church, ministry, or business with people under your care and leadership.

One addition to our gathering this year is the opportunity to hear about the role that Spiritual Direction can play in supporting our walk with God. If this ministry is new to you, not only will you have the chance to learn more, we will also provide time for taster sessions with a Spiritual Director. These allocated spaces will be limited, so please make sure to let us know if you are interested when you sign up!

If you are a church leader, I encourage you to bring along your senior leadership team. It is an excellent opportunity to invest in them. It creates opportunities to be and learn together. One question I often get asked is, 'how can women and men work alongside each other in healthy ways?' This event will explore this, but more importantly, we will model this well. Most things are "caught" more than "taught."

The team I've gathered is remarkable, and no doubt, will come ready to serve and be a great encouragement to those attending. I have many hopes for our short time together. I am asking the Lord that He would meet us deeply, connect us with new friends, and envision us in new ways. I pray that we will leave with fresh clarity, having been encouraged and empowered for this season. We need to be uplifted and reminded of the reasons why and where God has called us. Where He calls, He always sustains, but it is so good for us to be reminded.

We encourage you to sign up early as we will not be able to add additional space. Please remember that the cost of the event includes an evening dinner on Friday and Saturday lunch, as well as general refreshments.

Finally, we will ask that each person attending will complete a Covid Lateral Flow Test. We, of course, realise the times we are living in, and it is wise to do all we can to use wisdom in gathering.

We are looking forward to welcoming you! A detailed schedule will be sent before the event

£100.00 per person

“I loved that this was a leadership training that involved both men and women. I have only heard of women leaders events but they are led by women and we need to
know how to work together. The event really showed a healthy as well as encouraging model.”

Thank you for such a well organised and welcoming event and team - brilliant and such an encouragement!

It was just so brilliant from start to finish. Emmanuels Yard is so warm and welcoming and all the refreshments and food were timely and delicious. It was so special having a banquet for dinner on Friday night and all the little details were perfect....The talks were all just brilliant...Thank you so much to everyone for all their effort – it was very well appreciated.

“I learned so much about leadership at this event. Thank you for your vulnerability and offering a safe space where I could just receive in challenging, but also encouraging ways.”
