Our values are what shape the way we live as a community – put simply they serve as a guide for all we aim to be. At the core of the Vineyard Movement is a commitment to a form of worship and community that is Spirit lead and Jesus focused. We value integrity (honesty) and a commitment to speaking meaningfully to today’s generation whilst being fun, contemporary, passionate, yet relaxed and informal. We love community, where genuine friendships develop and people can use their gifts and talents to serve God and others. We also value hospitality, generosity, and serving those in need. Clear Biblical teaching and personal reflection is of great importance as is the recognition that we are all lifelong learners on a journey of discovery. In essence Vineyard is a church that blends the vibrant faith of the historic Christian creeds with a sympathetic approach to contemporary culture.
Every Church is different in its style, emphasis, make-up, and vision. We love diversity and recognise that we are one part of a very large body! As a recognition of this we aim to seek unity and a good working relationship with the wider body of Christ. West Wilts Vineyard is therefore committed to working with other local Churches and Christian initiatives. We currently support the work of CATA, Christian Action For The Trowbride Area, and Essence of Trowbridge.
