We believe that pastoral care is the responsibility of all and we aim to build a strong culture of care for each person’s physical, spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing. The teachings of Jesus tell us that we are to love our neighbour as ourselves (Mark 22:39). Pastoral care often happens through personal relationships, life groups, and community hubs. Our Sunday services also provides opportunity to receive prayer and encouragement from others. However, sometimes we need a little time with people who can offer a compassionate listening ear and help us to take our next steps. Our pastoral care team offer this additional support and can be contacted by texting 07375743097 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The Pastoral Care Team is an affiliated to Pastoral Care UK, which is part of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC). Care Uk.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month we have a team who provide sandwiches, soup, coffee and tea for people in our community who have no fixed abode. In addition to meeting practical needs the aim is to build relationships by showing love, kindness and care. This is an ecumenical (churches together) effort, which we feel privileged to be a part of. If you are interested in joining our soup run team please contact us for further details.
