What's On?

Small Groups

Small groups are essential to the life of this fellowship. They are small gatherings that meet weekly in peoples homes to worship, learn about God, study the Bible, socialise and generally have fun. Small groups are at the heart of the Vineyard movement because in essence they are the place where we can share life, develop meaningful relationships, and more importantly discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus!. All small groups are informal and relaxed although each has its own flavour depending on the group. Some of our small groups serve on the soup run rota once a month and as such this is incorporated into their monthly gatherings.

Sundays

Our Sunday meetings are relaxed, informal, welcoming and engaging. Dress code is casual and coffee, donuts, fruit and various refreshments are available free of charge. During our services there is a time of worship using contemporary music followed by a short talk relevant to life. Children and young people have an opportunity to explore faith and develop their relationships through fun, creative and thought provoking activities. We have a good child protection policy and many of our "young vineyard" helpers are experienced in working with children. There are crèche facilities for babies and younger children. Whether you are familiar with being in church or not, we hope that you will visit us as you explore and discover what God means to you.

We meet at 10.30 am

Vineyard Bible Institute (VBI)

Vineyard Biblical Institute exists as a service to the church. Biblical Studies and ministry training materials, which express the theology of the kingdom of God and the values of the Vineyard, are available through the medium of distance education. At west wilts vineyard we provide a forum to explore the School of Ministry course. It provides an opportunity for lay people to examine the Bible in more depth and further their theological education and training. There are five units to this module which once studied can be assessed online through a short exam. A School of ministry certificate awarded by VBI is available once all units have been completed.

Every Man

West Wilts Vineyard aims to be a place where men can be themselves and discover more about what it is to be a follower of Jesus in the modern world. So far an expression of this has been our Men’s Breakfasts which offered a hearty breakfast, speakers, worship and ministry time. We've played football, gone mountain boarding, played poker, attended prayer breakfasts, and have generally built friendships with those in and around our community. This year everyman is taking on a new flavour and seeking to pursue some more challenging and outward bound pursuits. Current suggestions include some hardcore climbing, underground exploration and an international charity weekend challenge. Whatever transpires all men are welcome to help shape this exciting new phase.

Every Woman

Over the last year women have come together to dine, be pampered, create, make jam (and sloe gin!), discuss the Bible, God and the role of women in the 21st century! We have worshiped together, attended women's stuff, laughed—a lot, and have built some great friendships. If you have a heart to make friends and develop meaningful relationships then come along, you will recieve a warm welcome. Please see our calendar for more details.

At West Wilts Vineyard we are to keen to see every woman discover their uniqueness and flourish in their gifts and talents. The Vineyard as a movement affirms the role of women in all areas of Church life and as such we will do all we can to make sure that this is reflected within our community.
