come as you are and grow.
If you are new to West Wilts Vineyard or visiting this website for the first time - you are welcome! We hope that the information you find here will give you an insight into who we are, what we value, and how we aim to serve our local communities.
The best way to discover more about our church is to come along to our Sunday gatherings which are fun, relaxed, informal, welcoming and engaging. We know that it can be slightly daunting to walk through the doors of somewhere new – especially if you’re not sure what to expect. So just to reassure you we thought you would like to know that:
- Our dress code is casual
- You will receive a warm welcome
- There will be friendly people available to help you find your way around
- There are free refreshments – coffee, tea, donuts and fruit
- Fun, age appropriate children’s activities will be available
- There is a time of contemporary music and singing – we call this an act of worship
- A talk relevant to life
- A time of prayer for those who would like it
We meet at:
The Spectrum Building
10.30am For Coffee & Refreshments.
lives changed & communities transformed
At West Wilts Vineyard Church, we are passionate about paving the way for people to encounter Jesus and connect with church. We trust that this website, with all its information, will give you a flavour of who we are, what we are about, and perhaps most importantly, where we are going! Our heart as a community is to say “come as you are”. Our hope is that you will discover a place where people are genuine and committed to the idea that every one of us is on a journey, trusting that together we can grow to be all that God has created us to be. If you have never been to church or you’re simply looking for somewhere to call home, why not pay us a visit – you will find a very warm welcome!
West Wilts Vineyard Church is all about, all because of, and all for, Jesus. We are a community of people who want to embody the type of church Jesus had in mind – a vibrant, fun, diverse, and purposeful community with the heart and desire to experience and communicate the life changing power of God’s love and compassion. We are not a “religious institution”, but aim to be a movement of faith, hope and love, believing that as we connect and draw closer to Jesus, and each other, lives can be changed for the better. Because of this we value living life together, taking our first steps and our next step, caring about the things God cares about. This means that we work together to be a worshipping church that has Jesus at its centre, an outward focused church that knows how to serve God and those around us, a generous church that understands the value of giving and making a difference, and a relevant church that knows how to communicate Jesus in a loving and genuine way.
At West Wilts Vineyard we have a vision to become a regional church. This means that we desire to see a network of communities released and serving the people of Bradford on Avon, Westbury, Trowbridge, Melksham, Warminster, Frome and their surrounding areas. We want to continue to see lives changed and communities transformed so that every person we encounter across the West Wilts regionis given the opportunity to thrive and flourish. We believe that we can make a difference by the way we choose to live. For us this means being people that listen to God's heart, prioritise and action what we hear and understand how we can engage, serve and partner with our local communities, friends and neighbours.
Our desire is to contribute towards the spiritual, cultural and social environment of our towns and their surrounding areas, making sure that love and compassion are our driving forces.
We are affiliated to Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland and at the heart of the movement is a simple desire to ‘do the stuff’ of the Bible and moreover to do it in a way that is accessible and relevant to everyone. For a great introduction to the Vineyard please take time to visit the Vineyard Churches UK website.
TROWBRIDGE × BRADFORD ON AVON × FROME × WESTBURY × WARMINSTER
The purpose of the community Hub is to welcome newcomers, connect people and identify ways to serve the people of West Wiltshire. Throughout the year each hub will co-ordinate a range of projects to connect with their local community. There are also some great socials open to family, friends and neighbours. For details of these events please check out our "what's on" page or the online calendar.
If you have just moved into the area or you are new to West Wilts Vineyard, you can contact your local Community Hub Co-ordinator who will help you connect with community members and update you on what's happening. Our prayer is that these groups will flourish over time to become a voice of faith, hope, love and life!
Unsure of your closet hub? Contact us and we will be glad to help.

× STOREHOUSE FOODBANK ×
Storehouse Foodbank is a project that aims to support families, couples and individuals in short-term need of food and toiletries. West Wilts Vineyard began this service in 2006 as a response to a growing need for support within our community. Over the years this project has grown andwe have developed good working relationships with over 40 local agencies and services that support the wider community such as schools, probation services, medical and children's centres, citizens advice bureaus and Wiltshire council. On a yearly basis we can expect to provide up to 6000 meals, snacks, drinks and toiletries to support our clients. Donations are collected at Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's in Trowbridge. Financial donations are also gratefully received. If you would like to volunteer or donate towards this ministry email Chris Neighbour at email@example.com. You can also visit our website storehousefoodbank.co.uk
× RE:FRESH ×
Re:Fresh aims to provide children and young people with toiletry and sanitary items. We recognise that some students face complex circumstances with specific needs throughout their school years. Our hope is tht by offering support and care, students will know they are not alone. Each student receives a bag containing soap, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, a flannl, face wipes, a comb or brush, tooth paste, toothbrush and sanitary items where relevant. We also include a card that simply says #fearfullyandwonderfullymade.
Re;Fresh is currently in three of our local towns: Trowbridge, Westbury and Frome. Our intent is that this project will continue to grow through our Hub communities. If you are interested please contact Sam Whiley at firstname.lastname@example.org
× SOUP RUN ×
Soup Run: Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month we have a team who make sandwiches, soup, coffee, and tea for people of our community who have no fixed abode. In addition to meeting practical needs our aim is to build relationships by showing love, kindness and care. This is an ecumenical (churches together) effort which we feel privileged to be a part of. If you are interested in joining our soup run team, contact Tonya Smith at email@example.com
× OTHER LOCAL & OVERSEAS INITIATIVES ×
West Wilts Vineyard partners and supports other local and overseas initiatives such as Compassion, People Against Poverty, Operations Christmas Child and UnseenUk. Throughout the years we have supported various projects aiming to bring life to others.
